One of the most popular locations in Arches National Park. I captured this back in May 2019 and I was lucky there were only a few people there that night...of which I had to clone out. Night Spin

Nightscape photography is my new passion. I have spent many hours under the stars in total amazement. This image is a 200 image Star Trail capture. I photographed this with a Nikon D-850 / 14-24mm lens@ 30 sec exp / 3sec interval @ F2.8/ISO 400 / Edited in StarStax

Shelter Among The Stars

On this night the sky was super clear and it was a low humidity night. I scoped this location out earlier in the day, got permission to shoot there and went back @ 9 pm. It took me @ 30 minutes to set the lighting and get the correct exposure and then I began to capture this little barn. The moonrise was @ 10:53 so I had very little time to get this done before the moon cast its bright light on the sky. The Shooting info is as follows: Nikon D-850 Foreground: F-3.5@ISO 800@ 25 Sec x 3 Milkyway: F-2.8 @ ISO 6400@4 Sec x16 stacked I used 3-Z96 lights at the lowest setting and the one in the barn had a small cloth over the lens to knock down the light even lower.

Lost In The Bisti

This image was captured in the Bisti Badlands in Northwestern New Mexico. This was captured using a DJI Mavic Pro for the lighting from above and then I captured the Milkyway image later that night and blended them in Post.

Goblin Valley

I love shooting the Milkyway. This image was captured in Goblin Valley Utah in the Spring of 2019. We are getting close to this year's season. Nikon D-850 16 Images stacked / ISO 6400 / 4 sec / F 2.8 2-Z-96 lights on a small stand were used 1 - The light used for the area in front of the camera was bounced off rocks behind me for a softer light 2- The 2nd light was direct light to the right of the scene to create shadows and highlights for contrast.

In the Bisti Badlands in Northwestern New Mexico. I captured the image of the foreground using a DJI Mavic Pro to Light Painted the landscape and then I captured the Milkyway later that same night.

The Night Awakens

I captured the Milkyway as the lighting illuminated the sky and storm . I captured 16 images of the Mikyway and stacked them but only used one foreground image and blended them in post.

Johns Canyon Utah

Just outside of Mexican Hat Utah on the San Juan River and close to Goosenecks State Park there is a dirt road that leads back into a deep canyon with 1000 ft walls on one side and the open desert to the San Juan River on the other. This images was captured on a very dark night while camping there earlier this year. I love this location because of its remoteness and the fact that you are truly alone with the stars here. I hope you enjoy the image. The foreground was captured @ Twilight / Blue Hour The Milkyway was captured @ F-2.8 / ISO 6400 / 5 sec x 16 images stacked
