A Walk Among The Ancients
July 28th 2020 - I hiked to Corona Arch and it about killed me but I made it and stayed for several hours waiting for the Moon to disappear. Once again I had the place all to myself all night until the end when another photographer showed up. I had my lighting set so he did a few images using them and I made my way back to the parking lot @ 3 am.
This place was a bit eerie after the Moon was gone. It was deafly quiet with only a cricket on occasion chirping or a bat flying overhead. The light from the Milkyway and the stars was all the light available. It was quit amazing. Making my way back to the parking lot meant a good 1.5 mile journey which isn't that far except this is over rugged terrain and at night so for me it was a bit daunting especially alone..
