Desert Skies
I spent some time in the desert of Arizona in 2019 around Horseshoe Reservoir just outside of Phoenix. This is an 18 image Pano but I did it a bit backwards from a normal Pano. Here's how I did it; I set my camera up and captured the Pano of the foreground first during the Blue Hour and made notes of the movements on the number gauge on my tripod and then when the Milkyway came up I started at the same position and did the Pano of the Milkyway. Each image was nine images and then I merged them In Photoshop and edited the merge in Lightroom.
Foreground: D850 / F6.3 / 2 minutes / ISO 200
Milkyway: D850 / F 2.8 / 5 sec / ISO 4000
Tripod: Really Right Stuff 34L
Head: Really Right Stuff BH 55
