Ok I have to admit this is not what I usually shoot, at least in the recent past. But, with the change in our World with the Corona Virus I have sheltered in place and I am searching for Photography opportunities to keep the creative juices flowing.
This image is a Macro of the top of my Canada Dry Ginger Ale Can captured with a 40-year-old Nikon 55mm F-2.8 Macro Lens that is Manual Focus and just as sharp as the day I purchased it.
The trick to manually stacking images is making sure you stagger your focus point and have enough DOF to insure the images blend
This image is an 11 image stack done manually and stacked and created using XnConvert to go from NEF files to Tif Files and stacked in Zerene Stacker. This is so fun and super easy to do. So, I will be playing and posting some other Macro images in the days to come. Oh, the water droplets were created using a 60/40 mix of Glycerine and Water. The light is from my desk lamp and the Color Temp. is @ 2800 K
